The Boston-to-Los Angeles corridor
Boston to Los Angeles is the ultimate cross-country move — 2,800 miles through a dozen states, from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific. We run this route regularly and have the logistics dialed in from pickup to delivery.
What this move involves
A cross-country move from Boston to LA is a major undertaking. Our truck follows I-90 West and I-80 West through New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and across the Great Plains before crossing the Rocky Mountains and descending into Southern California. This is a 4-5 day drive in a loaded truck.
All tolls across the entire route — turnpikes, bridges, and state toll roads — are included in your flat-rate quote. We do not add fuel or mileage as separate line items.
Los Angeles-specific logistics
Moving into LA has its own challenges. Street parking for a 26-foot truck is restricted in many neighborhoods — from West Hollywood to the hills above Silver Lake to the dense streets of Koreatown. We secure LA DOT temporary parking permits in advance and scout the delivery address on Google Street View before the truck arrives.
For apartment complexes and condos, we coordinate COI paperwork, elevator reservations, and building-specific delivery windows. Some buildings only allow moves on weekdays during business hours — we schedule accordingly.
