Agreement to Terms
By using the Boston House Movers website or booking our moving services, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers.
Services
Boston House Movers provides local and long-distance moving services, packing, storage, and related services in Lynn, MA and surrounding areas. All services are subject to availability and scheduling. We reserve the right to decline service at our discretion.
Quotes and Pricing
- Estimates: all quotes provided through our website, phone, or in-person consultation are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary if actual move conditions differ significantly from what was described.
- Binding quotes: when we issue a written binding quote after a walkthrough or video survey, the quoted price is the price you pay for the services described. Additional services requested on move day are quoted separately.
- Payment: payment is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, certified checks, and cash.
Booking and Cancellation
- Booking: a move is confirmed when you accept our written quote and we confirm the date. No deposit is required unless otherwise stated.
- Cancellation: we ask for at least 48 hours notice for cancellations at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- Rescheduling: rescheduling is free as long as the new date is available. Weekend and month-end dates fill up quickly — the sooner you notify us, the better we can accommodate.
Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the items to be moved, access conditions, and any special requirements
- Ensure clear access paths at both origin and destination (hallways, stairwells, driveways)
- Secure or remove items that are not being moved to prevent confusion
- Disclose hazardous materials, which we cannot legally transport (propane, gasoline, ammunition, paint thinner, etc.)
- Be present (or designate an authorized representative) at both pickup and delivery for walkthrough and sign-off
Liability and Insurance
- Basic coverage: every move includes Released Value Protection at no additional charge — 60 cents per pound per article.
- Full Value Protection: available as a paid upgrade. Covers repair, replacement, or cash settlement at current market value for lost or damaged items.
- Exclusions: we are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing defects, improper packing by the customer, acts of nature, or items of extraordinary value not declared before the move.
- Claims: damage claims must be reported to the crew chief on move day and submitted in writing within 30 days. We will respond to all claims within 30 days of receipt.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boston House Movers’s total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the move in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

- All content on this website (text, images, design, code) is the property of Boston House Movers and may not be reproduced without permission.
- You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the site.
- Quote request forms are for legitimate moving inquiries only. Submitting false information or spam is prohibited.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Both parties agree to attempt informal resolution before pursuing legal action. If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved in the courts of Essex County, Massachusetts.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance.
