Boston to Philadelphia — what to expect
The Boston-to-Philadelphia corridor runs 310 miles straight down I-95, passing through Connecticut, across the George Washington Bridge, down the New Jersey Turnpike, and into the Philadelphia metro. It is a well-traveled route for our crew — we typically run it two to three times per month.
Pricing and timing
Most Boston-to-Philly moves fall in the $1,800 to $6,500 range depending on home size and packing scope. Small loads (studio to one-bedroom) can be picked up in the morning and delivered the same evening. Full houses with three or more bedrooms are typically picked up one day and delivered the next morning.
Philadelphia delivery logistics
Center City Philadelphia presents the same challenges as any dense urban core — narrow rowhouse streets, limited truck access, and permit parking. We apply for temporary parking permits from the Philadelphia Parking Authority when needed and arrive early to claim curb space before the morning rush.
Suburbs like King of Prussia, Media, and Bucks County are more straightforward — driveways accommodate our trucks and access is rarely an issue.
