Apartment moves built for tight access
Apartment moves in the North Shore come with their own set of challenges — narrow stairwells in Lynn triple-deckers, elevator reservations in Salem high-rises, COI requirements from property management, and street parking that changes block to block. Our crew handles all of it so you can focus on the move itself.
We have moved tenants out of third-floor walk-ups on Ocean Street, navigated freight elevators in Revere Beach condos, and loaded from double-parked trucks on one-way streets in downtown Salem. Whatever your building throws at us, we have seen it before.
What makes apartment moves different
Unlike house moves, apartments require coordination with building management, neighbors, and often the city. Here is what we handle on your behalf:
- Elevator reservation — we contact your building to book the freight or service elevator for your move window.
- COI (Certificate of Insurance) — issued same-day to your property manager or HOA. We carry $1M general liability and workers comp.
- Stairwell protection — floor runners, door jamb protectors, and banister wraps on every walk-up job.
- Parking coordination — we check permit requirements and arrange temporary no-parking signs where needed.
- Furniture disassembly — bed frames, desks, and bookshelves broken down and reassembled at destination. Hardware bagged and labeled.
Typical apartment move timeline
| Apartment size | Crew size | Estimated time | Flat-rate from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio | 2 movers | 2–3 hours | $349 |
| 1-bedroom | 2 movers | 3–4 hours | $449 |
| 2-bedroom | 2–3 movers | 4–5 hours | $549 |

All flat rates include the truck, blankets, dollies, floor runners, and basic tools. No staircase surcharges, no elevator fees, no hidden add-ons.
September 1 lease turnover
The September 1 lease cycle is the single busiest moving day in Greater Boston. If your lease starts or ends on September 1, book at least three weeks in advance — our crews fill up fast for that window. Midweek moves during the turnover week are easier to schedule and often available on shorter notice.
