The Boston-to-New-York corridor
Boston to New York is our most-requested long-distance route. We run it multiple times per month and know every mile of I-95 through Connecticut — the merge at Bridgeport, the Stamford slowdowns, and the GW Bridge approach from the Cross Bronx.
What this move involves
At 215 miles, Boston to New York sits in a sweet spot: short enough for same-day delivery on most loads, long enough to qualify as an interstate move under FMCSA regulations. Our crew picks up in the morning and delivers the same evening for studio to two-bedroom loads. Larger homes may arrive next morning.
All tolls — the Connecticut turnpike and the bridge or tunnel into New York — are included in your flat-rate quote. We do not add them as a line item at delivery.
NYC-specific logistics
Moving into Manhattan adds a layer of logistics that suburban moves do not have. Building management companies often require COIs, elevator reservations, and specific move-in windows. Some buildings restrict moves to weekdays between 9 AM and 5 PM. We coordinate all of this before move day so there are no surprises at the loading dock.
For Brooklyn and Queens deliveries, street parking for a 26-foot truck can be challenging. We apply for NYC DOT temporary parking permits when needed and scout the block before positioning.
